Whether buying or selling real estate, choosing the right agent, understanding their role in the process, and knowing how they can help you is very
important. Sometimes an agent is working for the buyer, sometimes they work for the seller, and in some cases, they may be working for both!
No matter what kind of transaction you are involved in, you need to be a savvy consumer. You must be sure that someone is protecting you, looking out
for your best interests and acting as your advocate.

This is a company, or third party, that has been hired by the homeowner and has a written agreement to represent the homeowner’s interests throughout
the entire process. Please remember, if you choose to contact their Listing Agent directly, the loyalty is to the seller, not to you. They have an immediate
obligation to share anything you may tell them during your conversation with the seller, including personal information about pricing and financing.

This person has a written agreement with a buyer to find the home of their dreams, while protecting their interests and future investment. It is important
to remember that this is the only type of agent that will not share a buyer’s personal information with the seller.
